Working side by side with you on your journey is a privilege. We offer a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space where you can speak open and honestly, in confidentiality. Our approach not only focuses on relief from distress, but also helps to develop new tools and clarity of thoughts and feelings through open exploration. A process that can ultimately open up

greater inner strength, joy, self-compassion, and serenity.

The decision to seek help can be difficult, and for most people it's scary. My approach is focused on helping individuals and couples improve their most important relationships, health, and well-being. My approach is built on compassion, thoughtfulness, intuition and a deep desire to create a safe and caring environment to explore your inner world, thoughts, and feelings.

I am a Registered & Master Therapeutic Counsellor licensed with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada, and an EFT & Gottman Method Couples Therapist.

As a Canadian Certified Addiction Counsellor, I have training and experience in assessment, counselling, intervention, and treatment of substance abuse and addiction related disorders as well as working with families who are affected by someone else's struggle.

Growing up in a small B.C. town, I learned the importance of connection to community and to the great outdoors. I love spending time with my family, whether hiking, camping, participating and coaching in team sports, skiing, or kayaking. Music is also very close to me, and I have blessed with many opportunities and settings to "unwind".

I have also been fortunate to work with some wonderful local organizations such as The BC Para-Alpine Team, School District 22, and as a volunteer with the North Okanagan Hospice Society.

I know what anxiety, worry and disappointment are like, and I enjoy talking about the things that matter in life; relationships, self-confidence, true satisfaction, family, love, and other topics like that. I am a true believer we can all attain those things.

As a Registered Counsellor with a wide range of work and life experience, I have spent decades doing hands-on and business work, as well as volunteering with helping organizations and I think that helps me relate to clients.  I take therapy seriously and use my experience to make sure it is practical and sensible in the real world.

I have a psychology BA degree, a counselling psychology diploma, a BC professional teaching certificate, and a course of study in conflict resolution. I am certified by the Canadian Professional Counsellor's Association.

I enjoy translating therapy and education ideas into the real world of work and family. I have been both a professional and a tradesman, self employed most of the way. That includes even from being a school teacher to a truck driver somehow, all in the service of raising our family. Now I have 4 grown children, a wonderful wife of 37 years. I have often been a volunteer with charitable organizations. Other activities I enjoy are riding motorcycles, playing guitar, fishing, and photography.
