It can also lead to physical aches and pains, digestion problems, sleeping too much or too little, restlessness or slow movement, or poor eating habits.
It can happen to anyone in their lifetime, and if it happens once, chances are, it can happen again. Causes of depression are very broad. It can be caused by a combination of factors, such as the person's genes, biochemical environment, personal experiences or psychological factors. Whatever the cause, depression is a serious condition that deserves attention and is highly treatable - even in its most severe forms. The sooner a person is treated the more effective that treatment will be to reduce the feelings of depression.
